Duke Energy and South Carolina Electric & Gas, conservation groups and other stakeholders reached agreement earlier this year on the programs’ offerings that will implement Act 236, legislation in 2014 providing ratepayers with unprecedented access to affordable distributed energy resources (DER).

“These programs open a brand new lane for major solar growth in South Carolina starting now,” says Blan Holman, an attorney at the Southern Environmental Law Center, which represented several interest groups in negotiations with the utilities.
