Solutia expands solar presence with Etimex Solar buy

St. Louis-based specialty chemical and performance material company Solutia plans a €240m ($326m) acquisition of Etimex Solar, a subsidiary of Germany’s Etimex Holding, to gain position in the solar photovoltaic encapsulants business.
