The state that is home to facilities of SolarWorld, Peak Sun Silicon, and Sanyo Solar, among others, will now host flexible, thin-film solar manufacturer SoloPower.
The California company says it will initially build a 75MW manufacturing line, creating 170 jobs in Wilsonville, a suburb of Portland. Plans call for investment of $340m in a 300MW plant that would ultimately employ 500 people.
