The project, the largest of its kind in Africa, has a 20-year off-take agreement with power utility company Eskom.
SolarReserve, the Kensani Group and renewable energy developer Intikon Energy (both South African) developed the project.
Equity investment shareholders include Google, the Public Investment Corporation (PIC), Intikon Energy, Kensani Capital Investments and the PEACE Humansrus Community Trust. SolarReserve with Rand Merchant Bank provided preference share equity.
