While the company doesn't anticipate completing the project until at least 2015, receiving a permit from Saguache County "gives us tremendous credibility" to begin marketing its potential output to Colorado utilities, says Tom Georgis, senior vice president of development.
The project was developed with an eye toward Public Service Company of Colorado's late-2000s procurement plans, which included a carve-out for 250MW of solar thermal with storage.
