The Seoul-based PV module producer signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in late April with the authorities in Dak Lak province, in central Vietnam.
It has vowed to invest $500m to $1bn through 2056 to build unspecified solar projects in the remote Ea Sup Thuong Lake region.
SolarPark Korea first revealed plans to build solar projects in Vietnam last October.
In addition, Vietnam’s Long Thanh Infrastructure Development plans to build a 120MW solar array in Dak Lak’s Ea Sup district in cooperation with another unspecified South Korean company, according to a statement on the provincial government’s website.
