SolarCity is the largest US solar service provider claiming to provide more than one out of every three new solar power systems in the U.S. Its annual installations have doubled for eight years running, according to the company, with 500Mw or so in 2014.
The US on 1 January had about 20GW of cumulative PV capacity in place with analysts forecasting another 20GW in installations through 2016.
