Hong Kong-based power producer CLP plans to acquire a 100MW solar array from Suzlon in the southern Indian state of Telangana. It will initially take a 49% stake in the project, which is valued at roughly 8bn rupees ($118.9m), says The Economic Times, citing undisclosed sources. Indian wind group Suzlon is increasingly moving into the solar business, most recently with the acquisition of five special purpose vehicles to build 70MW of PV capacity in the Indian state of Maharashtra.
