Solar led US new generation in-service capacity in March

In the first quarter, new capacity totaled 1,309MW versus 1,786MW a year earlier.

Wind led all generation sources (707MW), down from 861MW in January-March 2015. Solar was next (522MW), up from 404MW. The balance included biomass, hydro and natural gas.
