The project application was submitted by London-based developer 35 Degrees, which has already inked a module supply agreement with Germany’s Solon, which will also carry out the planning, engineering, procurement and construction work.
The 1.55MW project will be located on a four hectare site of a former tin-ore processing plant, 4.5km southwest of Truro.
Solon will supply approximately 5,000 of its monocrystalline black 280/11 modules, and has entered a long-term collaboration with 35 Degrees to build more than 100MW of solar energy in the UK during the next five years.
