The MoU, signed by Solar Frontier parent Showa Shell Sekiyu, comes as the Kingdom attempts to progress its Vision 2030 economic reform platform, which has solar power build-out a central plank.

“Showa Shell Sekiyu has various interests and deep ties with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as well as Saudi Aramco and is deeply appreciative of this significant opportunity for the joint feasibility study,” says Solar Frontier.

Solar Frontier says “further developments will be announced depending on the results of this joint feasibility study”.
