The tender is SCE’s sixth under the Renewables Auction Mechanism (RAM), which the California Public Utilities Commission adopted in 2011 as the primary procurement tool for system-wide renewable distributed generation to promote competition in the marketplace.
In addition to 54.8MW using RAM, SCE is seeking 50MW of solar resources to support the launch of its Green Rate Program, which is part of the Green Tariff Shared Renewables (GTSR) program.
