SunPower has contracted with SCE for 711MW and with Fotowatio Renewable Ventures for 120MW. If all the contracts are approved and the projects built, they would generate enough electricity for 540,000 average homes.
Marc Ulrich, vice president of renewable and alternative power for SCE, already the nation’s leading solar utility, calls this “an unprecedented time for solar photovoltaic.
