Saudi Arabia has set a 9.5GW renewables target by 2030 as part of its Vision 2030 plan – a national policy statement as the government shifts its economy away from a reliance on fossil fuels.
Nasser told Reuters news agency that “renewable energy is on our radar... and we are looking forward to playing a major role in renewables in the near future”.
