Salazar dedicates first solar project on US federal land

The 50MW Silver State North project in Nevada – the first solar plant to be approved for construction on federal land by US Interior Secretary Ken Salazar in autumn 2010 – has become the first to reach commercial operation in what Salazar calls "a model" for industry-government cooperation.
