The Freiburg-based company is set to build the plant at a former military site in Stríbro, a district of Plzen, after identifying the Czech Republic as one of its target expansion countries.
Polycrystalline modules from Yingli will be used at the plant which will produce some 13,650,000 kilowatt hours (kWh) of energy per year – enough for more than 3,100 four-person households.
