The projects are part of Recurrent's 200MW development pipeline in Ontario, which has nurtured a booming solar market with a generous feed-in tariff.
The Japanese purchasers will acquire the projects -- taking equal shares -- when they reach commercial operation, expected next year. Recurrent intends to maintain a minority stake in the assets, which have 20-year power purchase agreements with the Ontario Power Authority.
