The take-or-pay contract will see REC deliver the wafers between now and the end of 2013, with the price to fluctuate based on the prevailing market.
Like many wafer suppliers, REC has spent the past few years renegotiating many of its long-term wafer contracts. In late December it agreed to terminate a long-term wafer deal with an Asian customer for a one-off payment of €39m ($51.9m).
