Q-Cells lost €257.2m ($386m) during the third quarter, its third straight quarterly loss. The company has lost nearly €1bn in 2009, compared to a net profit of €152.7m at this point last year.
The tumbling price of solar cells dragged its quarterly revenues to €184.1m, compared to €352.4m last year. Q-Cells says the price of solar cells has fallen 20% during the last three months, and is down 40% on the year.
