Despite being dragged back into the red by currency fluctuations, Q-Cells bagged its second straight operational profit and appears to have turned a corner in the eyes of many analysts.
Quarterly revenues surged to €401.6m – up 20% on the second quarter, and more than double the amount logged during the same period last year.
The improved revenues and operating profitability are the result of a dramatic increase in cell shipments – which rose 81% year on year to 186MW – as well as the sale of a number of large-scale PV arrays by Q-Cells’ rapidly growing project development arm.
