Q-Cells, which has long focused on making solar cells, and more recently on building turnkey utility-scale solar arrays, will now begin making crystalline solar modules and installing mid-sized solar systems ranging from 5 kilowatts to 5 megawatts (MW) for industrial clients.
The firm will transform itself from “a solar-cell manufacturer to a provider of photovoltaic solutions”, as it looks to cover more profitable areas of the value chain and improve its risk position.
