Q-Cells and Sunfilm join forces to form thin-film titan

In a surprise move, Sontor, the thin-film division of German solar giant Q-Cells, announced it will merge with competing firm Sunfilm to form one of the world’s leading producers of silicon-based thin-film modules. The merged company will be known as Sunfilm.
