The company will construct the plant, with four production lines, at its existing site in Cyberjaya.

Hanwha Q Cells said the module capacity boost follows recent additions to its cell-manufacturing capabilities as it ramps up to meet growing demand.

The manufacturer expects 2014 shipments of between 1GW and 1.2GW and “positive full-year figures”, it said today.

The new lines are expected to be ready for test production in the third quarter of next year and full capacity by early 2016.

The
