PV tracker sector ripe for M&A activity, says IHS

California-based NEXTracker was the largest supplier to the 5.5GW North American market for PV tracker systems last year, snatching the title from New Mexico-based rival Array Technologies, according to IHS.

Rounding out the top five were US panel makers First Solar and SunPower, both of which have their own in-house tracker technology, and OCI Solar-owned Sun Action Trackers, IHS says. The top five players controlled 90% of the North American market.
