Initial capacity of the 11,150-square-metre plant, which will make inverters for wind and solar PV projects, is expected to reach 1GW by the end of this year. It currently has 40 employees. The Phoenix factory site has room to expand capacity to up to 4GW. Power-One also has manufacturing facilities in California, where it is based, Ontario, Slovakia, Italy, and Shenzhen, China.
