PG&E has struck a deal for energy from NextEra Energy Resources proposed Genesis Solar Energy Project, which would consist of two 125 megawatt (MW) parabolic-trough plants on federal land in Riverside County, California. The utility expects the plants to come on line one at a time in 2013 and 2014, ultimately producing 560 gigawatt-hours (GWh) annually.
Abengoa Solar said earlier this month it had landed an unnamed off-taker for its Mojave Solar Project.
