The utility says it has selected developers through a competitive bidding process. The contractors are Cupertino Electric and SOLON Corporation, which built PG&E’s first utility-owned solar project next to its Vaca-Dixon electrical substation.
Cupertino will build projects of 15MW and 20MW near Fresno in California’s Central Valley.
SOLON, the PV manufacturer and project developer, will build a 15MW plant on 160 acres (65 hectares) in the same vicinity, using the company’s Velocity
