The Kittitas County Board of Adjustment voted 4-1 earlier this week to approve Teanaway Solar Reserve, which, if built as its backers envision, would be among the largest PV plants in the world.
They also denied an appeal filed by project opponents who argued that environmental review of the project was inadequate.
Teanaway, announced a year ago, would cover about 3.6sq km near the forested former mining town of Cle Elum, about 90 minutes drive from Seattle.
