Mandalay owner MGM Resorts and NRG also announced plans to build an additional 1.5MW (ac) PV array atop a future expansion of the hotel’s convention center, scheduled to begin construction later this year.
Mandalay will purchase the power from both installations, with the larger one to offset 20% of the resort’s peak energy demand.
