The strategic agreement, which covers India and other markets, was signed in April, Nava Akkineni, NEXTracker’s vice president for emerging markets, tells Recharge.
The project in Punjab is already half finished, with NEXTracker supplying design consultation and installation support in addition to its single-axis tracker technology.
Adani Power aims to build 10GW of PV capacity in India by 2022, and intends to “deploy as much ground-mounted tracker projects as possible” within that target, Akkineni says, noting that not all sites are right for trackers.
