NextEra scraps $4.3bn Hawaiian Electric bid after regulatory 'no'

NextEra Energy – North America’s largest generator of wind and solar – has scrapped its planned $4.3bn takeover of Hawaiian Electric Industries (HEI) after the deal was rejected by state regulators on Friday.
