NextEra Energy to buy Hawaiian Electric Industries

NextEra Energy Inc., the largest US generator of wind and solar power, is buying Hawaiian Electric Industries Inc. (HEI), in a deal that will see NextEra gain unparalleled experience over the coming years in running a renewables-centric grid.
