New York State to adopt 50% clean energy standard

Governor Andrew Cuomo has directed regulators to design and enact a new Clean Energy Standard (CES) that 50% of all electricity consumed in New York State by 2030 come from clean and renewable energy sources, replacing the 30% mandate that expires this year.
