JA now projects its quarterly shipments will exceed 265 megawatts (MW), up from the 215MW-225MW it predicted in February. Chief executive Peng Fang credits surging demand in new markets and streamlined production at the firm’s two manufacturing sites for the uptick.

The Shanghai-based company has not revised its full-year guidance of 900MW.

Fang says demand has rebounded remarkably among the world’s major solar markets such as Germany, China, the US and Spain.
