The floatation saw Nexolon raise a total of 85.5bn won ($74m), with which it intends to expand its wafer capacity to 1.7GW by the end of the year – up from just 600MW at the end of last year.
The Seoul-based company floated slightly more than 21 million shares for 4,000 won apiece, which by the closing bell had surged 30% to 5,200 won, on a day when the benchmark Kospi index rose 0.7%.
