Ingeteam will inherit Bonfiglioli’s installed base of 3GW of grid-tied central inverters following the purchase, agreed with current owner Bonfiglioli Riduttori for an undisclosed sum.
Ingeteam – itself a specialist in inverters and other PV power systems – will add the Italian company’s assets and O&M commitments to its own 6.5GW under service globally.
David Solé, managing director of Ingeteam’s energy division, said: "This strategic integration will enable us to significantly strengthen our presence in the United States and India, which are two key markets in the PV sector for Ingeteam."
