Idaho Power will purchase the power from the projects to be located across southern areas of the western state. They will supply electricity for about 30,000 homes.
First Wind expects to have all the projects in commercial operation by the end of 2016.
“These five projects will deliver clean, renewable solar energy to homes and businesses in Idaho at a cost-competitive price,” says First Wind chief executive Paul Gaynor.
