Hawaii advances renewable usage for power generation

Hawaii obtained 23.4% of its electrical power from renewables in 2015, more than double 9.5% at the start of this decade, as it aims for 100% by 2045 largely with solar and wind – the most ambitious mandate among the 50 US states.
