The unit of privately held Spanish concern Corporación Gestamp says one of its initial customers is BrightSource Energy, building a 392MW solar power tower project in California.
The factory, on 27 acres (11 hectares) at the edge of the Phoenix metro area, will also serve as the US headquarters for Gestamp Solar Steel, which develops and manufacturers structures for solar fields.
