Belectric will act as engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor for the project, which will be installed atop a 4,500-car parking facility being built for Saudi Aramco at Dhahran.
Bavaria-based Belectric, which topped Q-Cells to become the world’s largest PV systems integrator in 2010, plans to install more than 120,000 thin-film modules supplied by Japan’s Solar Frontier.
Belectric will work alongside local partner Sun & Life, a subsidiary of Saudi infrastructure developer Acwa Holding, with construction expected to be finished by the end of the year.
