Since January, when environment minister Norbert Röttgen surprised many solar firms by mooting far higher cuts than had been expected, the solar industry has waged an intense lobbying campaign to convince the government to soften the blow.
It appears they have failed, Reuters reports. It is understood the ruling coalition will only slightly tweak the planned FIT reductions, with most remaining unaltered.
