But the coalition, which will bring its solar legislation before parliament as early as April, says it will now seek a 16% FIT cut for rooftop systems – slightly higher than the 15% cut it proposed previously.
The ruling coalition – comprising Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Christian Democrats, their Bavaria-based sister party the Christian Socialists, and the anti-tax Free Democrats – has spent the past month hammering out the final details of the FIT reduction.
