The project, through utility Arizona Public Service (APS), received a $3.3m grant from the Department of Energy. It will involve 1.5 megawatts of solar installed on residential rooftops, businesses and in a 500 kilowatt utility solar park, all in a single area of the distribution grid -- a feeder called Sandvig 4 in northeast Flagstaff, Arizona.
APS will own and operate solar installations on about 200 customer roofs.
