First Solar shines as DOE closes $5.9bn in 11th-hour guarantees

The US Department of Energy (DOE) finalised seven deals under the Loan Guarantee Program late last week, supporting more than $5.9bn in debt to more than 2GW of solar projects and a large biorefinery.
