The Arizona company, which last week ousted its chief executive, pre-announced third-quarter financials and lowered its sales and earnings expectations for 2011, remains on track to add 280MW of production in its home state to supply some 2.7GW of utility-scale US solar projects.
“This consolidation will help us to balance our production with market demand, while still providing local capacity to supply our US project pipeline and the broader American market,” says Mike Ahearn, the company’s chairman and interim chief executive.
