California investor-owned utility Pacific Gas & Electric will buy electricity produced by 300MW of First Solar thin-film modules, under a power purchase agreement (PPA) the company announced Tuesday.
First Solar, based in Tempe, Arizona, had already signed a PPA with Southern California Edison for the other 250MW to be built at the project on federal land in Riverside County, California.
