The Arizona giant has rapidly expanded from the world’s largest manufacturer of thin-film PV to one of the top solar project developers, largely through acquisitions.
RayTracker and all of its employees will become part of the engineering, procurement and construction group at First Solar. Terms of the acquisition were undisclosed.
RayTracker is a product of Idealab, the Pasadena, California, technology and business incubator headed by Bill Gross, who was RayTracker’s chairman.
