The deal calls for the companies to “initially explore collaboration on solar PV projects in China and identify project investment opportunities for CPINE in the US and other global solar markets”, according to a First Solar statement.
CPINE, in a release (PDF), says it will "actively assist" First Solar "in the promotion and application" of its technology in China, and that First Solar "will actively assist CPINE in the investment and construction of photovoltaic power generation projects in the USA and other markets in which [First Solar] actively participates, support and assist CPINE in acquiring project resources, policy study and project management".
