The new partners plan to begin production in the second quarter of 2010 at a facility costing $40-50m with an initial capacity of approximately 100 megawatts (MW). Evergreen Solar says the partners plan to expand production capacity to some 500MW by 2012.
They expect to finalize terms of the manufacturing relationship over the next three months, including project financing and permits.
