The largest of the solar deals saw a group including Canada-based SkyPower Solar sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Egyptian government over development of up to 3GW.
The country also signed a 2GW MoU with a consortium including Terra Sola, a Bahrain-based developer.
Abu Dhabi renewable energy group Masdar and ACWA Power of Saudi Arabia jointly struck an MoU covering potential development of 1.5GW
